Yesterday I began reading a book about leadership and one idea really stuck with me. The author was saying that in any endeavor we begin, it’s important to have an idea in your head of what “success” will look like to you. He says that this is how we can create, rather than react.

Don’t react – create.

It’s about building something with intention, rather than just haphazardly throwing something together. And while he is talking about this in an organizational sense, I think it can apply to anything – making art, writing, creating a home, throwing a great party, improving relationships.

Don’t react – create.
